LAST Post - A Farewell to “The Lost Manifesting Blog”

This blog has served as a beacon of “personal research” for me since June 2005 - a not-so-public place where I’ve either a) sent our subscribers to or b) just allowed the SEO (Search Engine Optimzation) Gods do their thing.

This blog has been affectionately called “The Lost Manifesting Blog” - since it was never truly linked to our navigational menu on our site, you could have only gotten here by being directed here.

Yep, this is the rarely seen blog that started it all - from the audio message titled “Secret Hawaiian Wisdom found in Waikiki” to the most recent article post titled “Wealth Consciousness,” readers have found a goldmine of information about the power of the mind, manifesting, and core-level self-growth secrets, techniques, and strategies.

Yet, while it seems I’m about to do the standard sentimental, I’m-shutting-down-for-good message you might be expecting (because you’ve seen it before from other online marketers), I get to say, “Not” :)

What I am saying, though, is that this blog is in my gratitude box of sorts because it’s the digital real estate that FIRST allowed me to share so many powerfully useful insights and ideas. But, as my passion and purpose - to continually sift-out, sort, and select the wisdom of higher-learning for you - grows,  so does the need (and desire) to be integrated into a LARGER scope of work - work that is enhanced by like-minded, hard-charging, creative people that inspire me, just like so many of you have.

So, where’s this leave this space ?

Select archives will be here; however, all current stuff about what we’re involved in, what we’re researching, and who we’re interviewing is now at:

Wealth Consciousness

By David Cameron Gikandi

Wealth follows those with wealth consciousness. It is not the other way round. Wealth consciousness comes from states and thoughts of prosperity and wealth full of confidence.

Wealth is a predictable result. The causes of wealth are predictable and accessible to all without exception.

Reality Therapy, Part 1

By Robert Ringer

For most of my life, I was a strong believer in conventional psychology, which is based on the teachings of Sigmund Freud.  Conventional psychology focuses on finding the psychological roots of an individual’s problems.  The idea is that once a person’s past traumas are brought to the surface and dissected, he is able to change his attitude toward life and, in turn, alter his behavior.  All this made perfect sense to me.

At the same time, I was always a staunch nonbeliever in the concept of “behavioral modification,” which is in stark conflict with conventional psychology.  Behavioral modification seemed to imply synthetic change, which is why I associated it with the rah-rah slogan “Just fake it till you make it.”

Today, I am more convinced than ever that most people’s emotional problems have their roots in the past — usually in their childhood experiences.  Likewise, I also remain convinced that faking change simply does not work over the long term.  Nevertheless, my attitude toward both traditional psychotherapy and behavioral modification changed when I started learning about “reality therapy,” a psychotherapy method created by Dr. William Glasser.

Before discussing reality therapy, I am obliged to point out that it is a very complex subject, and one in which I claim no professional expertise.  My only aim here is to simplify (professionals might argue — perhaps justifiably — oversimplify) reality therapy in an effort to share some information and insights that might be helpful to you in your quest for a better life.

With this caveat, I will begin by pointing out that the central focus of reality therapy is fulfillment of an individual’s needs.  A reality therapist believes that fulfilling one’s needs is concerned only with an individual’s present life.  It has nothing to do with his past, no matter how traumatic his experiences may have been.  Reality therapy, however, does not deny the existence of past problems.  Rather, it just views them as unimportant when it comes to fulfilling one’s present needs.

The corollary to the above is that if you learn to fulfill your needs in the present, the past no longer matters.  A perfect example of this would be an individual who has experienced a bad first marriage.  The sooner such an individual can find happiness in a second marriage, the sooner his/her first marriage will become a distant memory.  In fact, reality therapy believes that the most critical factor when it comes to fulfilling one’s needs is intimate involvement with another person.

To the reality therapist, then, it’s a waste of time to sit around and lament what has happened to us in the past and continue to use old traumas as an excuse for our present unhappiness.  The only things you can change are your thoughts and actions of today.

So, while it’s true that you are a product of your past, the reality is that you can’t change any of the unpleasantness you may have endured earlier in life.  Whatever childhood problems may have caused a person to behave the way he does today, no amount of bringing them to the surface will change his current situation.

Reality therapy teaches that the key to fulfilling our needs in the present is responsible behavior.  As Dr. Glasser puts it, “Happiness occurs most often when we are willing to take responsibility for our behavior. … Responsible behavior leads to a feeling of self-worth.”

Plain and simple, Glasser believes that responsible behavior ultimately solves most of our problems.  But isn’t “responsible behavior” a subjective term?  This question brings to the fore the age-old relativist argument that everything in life is subjective.  Millions of clueless kids bought into the lie of relativism in the sixties, only to end up dead or with shattered lives.

The truth of the matter is that every halfway intelligent, mature adult knows the difference between responsible and irresponsible behavior.  I would argue that the vile behavior extolled by millions every day on television — much of it under the protective shadow of the First Amendment — never leads to happiness.

8 Myths About Money

By Loral Langemeier

I grew up on a farm in Nebraska. My family had always worked hard for their money, and as a result, I always equated working hard with making money, with no idea that my beliefs could not have been further from truth.

As I educated myself on human behavior and financial strategies, I learned that it’s actually the people who make their money work hard for them, rather than the people who work hard for their money, who end up with more of it.

Since creating my millionaire-making program, I’ve learned that I was not alone. There are many people who shared this same myth. Much like our views about many things — people, relationships, food, and health to name a few — our beliefs came from our parents, our teachers, and other adults in our lives.

And it goes back even further, beyond them, back to the circumstances through which they lived, or what they learned from their parents, what their parents learned from their parents, and so on. These beliefs are ingrained, and because they’re usually subconscious, the cycles are continuous — until someone breaks them.

You can break the cycle. Beliefs about money are many and varied, but in my research, I’ve discovered that there are a few that predominate.

Decoding the Bible - An introduction:

By Adrian Cooper

> As regular readers will know, I have mentioned the Bible from time to time in previous newsletters in the context of the subject being discussed, not because I am in any way religious, which could not be further from the truth, but because the great teachings and meanings contained within the Bible have been lost in time, and I believe it is appropriate to resurrect them.

Based upon the numerous messages I receive following each newsletter where I reference the Bible, it is evident that this has been extremely received and accepted by people, who have also requested many more such references in future.

It is clear that many readers are, understandably, still influenced, to varying degrees by a religious upbringing, and the fear that often carries, and need to reconcile this with the Universal, Spiritual reality and truths that we discuss within these newsletters in order to make progress, and not remain trapped in the restrictive confines of creed and dogma, which ironically, is precisely the opposite of what the person known as Jesus intended, part of which was to free the world of “belief systems” and religious practices based around deities contrived by humans.

Is It Really just A Coincidence?

Excert fromThe Synchronicity Luck Program

Many see coincidences as embedded in a higher, transcendental force, a cosmic glue, as it were, which binds random events together in a meaningful and coherent pattern. The question has always been: could such a harmonizing principle actually exist?

Or are skeptics right in regarding this as a product of wishful thinking, a consoling myth spawned by the intellectual discomfort and capriciousness of chance?

Three Breathing Techniques to Improve Your Life

By Kacper Postawski

Few people know how to breathe correctly and this can cause fatigue and unnecessary feelings of stress. It can also cause you to have difficulty falling asleep at night. The human body was designed to breathe using the diaphragm muscle rather than the chest.

When you breathe using the diaphragm, your stomach will expand as the diaphragm extends into the abdomen, allowing the lungs to fully expand. This is known as “deep breathing”.

Shallow breathing, or “chest breathing”, is the technique most people use most of the time. This prevents the person from getting a true lung-full of air. The more stress you experience, the more shallow your breathing will become. This is where the feeling of tiredness comes from after a long, stressful day.

Control Your Brainwaves …. Change Your Reality

By Enoch Tan

Since we know that all things in the physical world are fundamentally vibrations, the best vibrations to change would be the vibrations of your brain.

Your brain is the most powerful tool that you have. It basically controls every function of your body and the way you think feel and act. When you change the vibrations of your brain, you will change every aspect of your life.

Technology that enhances the function of your brain is the most powerful technology to have.

There are so many areas in life that you brain governs. It controls the immune system of your body which determines the state of your health.

It controls your sleeping and waking patterns which determines whether you can wake up on time for work and have abundance of energy to carry out the days activities. It controls your memory and perception which determines how well you are able to learn and remember things.

When you can enhance your brain in all these areas with a single technology, the possibilities of what you can achieve are endless!

Is there such magical technology?

The Magic Is In The Blindfold

Want to see a real-life, easy-to-understand EXAMPLE of how we can let the physical world - the world we touch, taste, smell, feel, and view - LIMIT our accomplishments ?

The clip you’re about to watch is from the movie “Facing The Giants.”

It’s a football movie and in this scene, you’ll appreciate how the coach shows one KEY player why the only thing that is getting in his way is …… himself !

To me, the power of this clip isn’t so much about the idea of “giving it our best” or the ideal of persistence as it is in the PROOF that we can EXCEED any self-imposed limits through internal vision.

Paradox of Our time

By Dr. Bob Morehead

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints.

We spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time.

We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.

We conquered outer space but not inner space.
We’ve done larger things, but not better things.

We’ve cleaned up the air,but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice.

We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.

These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom.A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.

Remember, to say, “I love you” to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it.A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

Life is not measured in the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

The Choice To Feel

By Peggy McColl

[Excerpt from Your Destiny Switch: Master Your Key Emotions, And Attract the Life of Your Dreams by Peggy McColl, Foreword by Neale Donald Walsch]

Recently, a friend of mine named Renee was driving her seven-year old son home from school, and she was preoccupied with worry. She had a lot of bills to pay and was having difficulty making money. Her husband had been ill and unable to work, so they’d fallen behind on their mortgage. This was a serious situation that required her attention, but it didn’t demand her undivided attention every minute of the day.

As she drove, her son began to chatter away about the changing color of the leaves and how when a maple-leaf seedpod is thrown up into the air, it spins on its way down like a helicopter. Renee barely acknowledged what her son was saying because she couldn’t stop thinking about her financial situation.

When she pulled up to a red light, Renee looked over at her son and in a moment of awareness, realized that she was missing out . . . that her constant worrying was preventing her from truly listening and connecting to her child. Worse, she’d made a habit of half listening to him as she internally fretted about her problems. Renee realized that she wanted to snap out of her fear and choose a different emotion. She asked herself, What else could I feel right now instead of fear or worry?

Renee had several choices. She could feel:

> Gratitude that she was able to spend time with her son, and that the two of them were close
> Joy as she listened to him talk about what was on his mind
> Curiosity and genuine concern about what his day was like
> Confidence and faith in her ability to handle her financial crisis

In fact, she could experience all these emotions at once if she chose to.

She might not be able to let go of her anxiety completely, but she also didn’t have to let it dominate her emotions. By allowing her mood to be overwhelmed by worry over one aspect of her life, she was dampening any positive emotions she might feel. Her emotions weren’t in balance, and everything seemed dark.

We’ve all had a moment similar to Renee’s in which we realize that whatever emotion we’re experiencing, it’s not one that makes us feel good. Often our desire to return to feeling better is enough to inspire us to try to change our emotional balance.
